BISP 8171 SMS – Hello, Dear beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), We hope you are doing well. We have an important update to share with Telenor SIM users who are part of BISP.

We recently posted on our official Twitter and Facebook accounts about a change in our SMS service. From now on, you can no longer send messages to 8171 for BISP services if you are using a Telenor number.

We understand that this news might cause some inconvenience and worry for those of you who are using Telenor numbers registered under BISP. We are sorry for any trouble this may cause.

To continue receiving your benefits without any interruptions and to stay connected with the BISP program, we kindly request all Telenor users to follow these steps:

Change Your Contact Number:

  • Step 1: Find the nearest Benazir Income Support office: Look for the BISP office closest to where you live. You can ask for help or use a map app to locate it.
  • Step 2: Talk to the person at the help desk: When you get to the BISP Tehsil office, go to the help desk and tell them you want to update your Telenor number for the program.
  • Step 3: Go to the special counter: The BISP person will guide you to a counter where you can change your phone number.
  • Step 4: Bring your ID card: Don’t forget to bring your ID card, like your CNIC, so they can check if it’s really you.
  • Step 5: Give your new number: Tell them your new Telenor number, and make sure it’s registered in your name.

By following these steps, you can easily update your Telenor number for the Benazir Income Support Program. Then you will be able to continue availing of BISP services through SMS without any issues.
