BISP Temporarily Suspends Disbursements Amidst Heatwave
The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has decided to temporarily stop providing cash to beneficiaries, due to the ongoing heatwave in the country. This decision aims to protect the lives of beneficiaries, especially women and children, and minimize any potential harm and inconvenience.
The suspension of cash disbursement from the designated campsites is based on recommendations from relevant authorities. Despite the efforts made by BISP 8171, along with provincial and regional governments and partner banks, it has been determined that the existing measures may not be enough to ensure the safe and convenient delivery of funds during the heatwave.
As of 6 pm today, June 23rd, over 2.9 million beneficiaries have already received cash assistance, totaling an impressive amount of Rs. 26.12 billion, from the campsites set up nationwide.

When will BISP’s New Payment Start?
