786 Program
786 SMS – The 786 Program was started by the Government of Pakistan, led by Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif, on May 22, 2022. Its main goal is to help people with limited income, especially women and children. The name “786” is considered sacred in Islam.
The program provides financial support to families in need. If a family earns less than Rs. 40,000 per month, they can get a monthly grant of Rs. 2,000 through the Ehsaas Program. During a press conference, Miftah Ismail, who represents the Pakistani government’s PML-N party, announced that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif launched the Ehsaas 2000 program on May 28, 2022.
