BISP New Payment of 9,000/- to be Distributed Soon – Latest News

BENAZIR KAFAALAT TRANCHE RS. 9000/- RELEASE

BISP New Payment – Exciting news for people who qualify for the BISP Ehsaas program in Pakistan! The government has decided to increase the amount of money given to program participants. This means more funds will be provided for BIS programs.

The wait is over! The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP 8171) has released the fourth quarterly payment of Rs. 9,000/- for the financial year 2022-2023.

During the 58th Board meeting of the Benazir Income Support Program, Federal Minister Shazia Marri confirmed a 25% increase in the stipend for account beneficiaries.  In the month of June, eligible individuals will receive Rs. 9,000 as cash assistance. If the payment is increased to Rs. 10,000 in the future, the government will deliver it in July, August, or September.

To ensure easy and direct access to the cash assistance, it will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Initially, a pilot payment model will be introduced in four selected districts of the country. If the pilot is successful, beneficiaries across the country will have the option to open their accounts in banks of their choice.

Overall, these changes aim to improve the BISP Ehsaas program and provide greater financial support to those in need.

The budget for the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has received a significant boost, with an increase from Rs. 250 billion to Rs. 400 billion. This represents a substantial 60% increase in funding, allowing for greater coverage and support for beneficiaries.

To expand the reach of the program, 472 Benazir Development Centers have been established across the country. These centers are facilitating a faster enrollment process through the registry, ensuring that more individuals can become part of the program and receive the benefits.

In an important move towards inclusivity, transgender women are now exclusively included in the Benazir Kafalat program. They are not required to meet any PMT (Poverty Scorecard) score criteria. To avail themselves of the program, transgender women need to register with NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) and visit the Benazir Income Support Program office. Upon registration, they will receive financial assistance and support.

These developments reflect the government’s commitment to expanding the BISP program, improving accessibility, and ensuring that marginalized communities, such as transgender women, are included in the social safety net.
