The Chief Minister Kissan Card Scheme is an initiative by the Punjab Government aimed at providing interest-free loans to eligible farmers. This program is designed to help farmers access essential agricultural inputs like fertilizers and seeds, promoting enhanced productivity and financial stability in the agricultural sector.
Launched in collaboration with several key government departments such as the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), PLRA, PMD, NADRA, and Bank of Punjab (BOP), the scheme will benefit farmers with land holdings up to 12.5 acres. The initiative aims to disburse loans for agricultural purposes to a significant number of farmers, improving their crop yields and enhancing the agricultural economy of Punjab.
Over 500,000 farmers will benefit from this scheme in the 1st phase, helping to increase crop productivity and reduce financial burdens during the sowing and harvesting seasons.
Loan Amount: Farmers can receive a loan up to Rs. 150,000 per season, which can be used to buy fertilizers, seeds, and other agricultural inputs.
Loan Per Acre: The loan is provided at a rate of Rs. 30,000 per acre, with a maximum of 5 acres eligible for the loan.
Eligibility Criteria: Farmers owning up to 12.5 acres of land are eligible. Their land records must be available in the PLRA system, and they must have a mobile SIM registered in their name.
Repayment Period: The loan must be repaid within six months, with a one-month grace period for repayment flexibility.
Registration Process: Registration for the scheme is online, and farmers can register by sending an SMS to 8070 with their CNIC number.
To apply for the Chief Minister Kissan Card, you must:
Own up to 12.5 acres of agricultural land.
Have your mobile SIM registered under your own CNIC (PMD verified).
Have land details recorded in the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) database.
Undergo digital verification from PLRA, NADRA, PMD, and eECIB.

Once your application is received, your details will be verified by NADRA, PLRA, and other relevant departments. If everything is in order, you will receive your Chief Minister Kissan Card from the Bank of Punjab.
The loan provided under this scheme is aimed at helping farmers buy agricultural inputs such as fertilizers and seeds. The loan details are as follows:
Maximum Loan Per Farmer: Rs. 150,000
Maximum Loan Per Acre: Rs. 30,000
Total Loan for 5 Acres: Rs. 150,000
Usage: The loan can be used to purchase fertilizers, seeds, and other farming essentials.
This initiative will assist around 500,000 farmers on a first-come-first-serve basis, ensuring quick access to much-needed resources.

Once registered and approved, farmers can use their Kissan Cards at authorized dealers in their respective districts. These vendors are linked with fertilizer and seed companies, ensuring transparent and direct delivery of agricultural inputs.
